The Elves and the Shoemaker.....

Jonathan Kelsey:
Relatively new shoe -kid on the block based in London developed his own style over 5 years before moving into freelance design has worked for Jimmy Choo, colaborated with Cacharel, Luella and Mulberry to name a few.....
He was selected to showcase his first collection as part of Saks Fifth Avenue's fashion incubator project.

Quote: His shoes are unashamedly sexy, intelligent and modern, he draws inspirations from architecture and furniture, specifically the 1920's & 1960's to create striking designs with a little nod to the darker side of life"

Inspiration A/W 09 - "So i decided to go down to Camden like a tourist, as if i was there for the first time, and really drink it all in...I got inspired by the leather clothes i saw: the fringing details, the zips, the rivets, the rivets and the studs on jackets especially......and im really inspired by Siouxie Sioux and Joan Jett... in fact im really developing an affinity with rock chicks....Courtney Love bought some shoes from me the other day...."
Philosophy A/W 09 - "The girl in mind for winter is definitely out enjoying herself. She is a creature of the night...she loves music, she loves wearing ripped up old jeans, a rock t-shirt and very expensive, sexy shoes...she loves he biker jacket!!!
(From Grazia UK Interview)

I know the shoes shown are oldies from his first collections but i am the proud owner of a pair of his blood burgundy Amy bitch heels (bottom left and yes they were designed with Wino in mind) and I still have a mad thirsty lust for the Camden Knee-high boots......heart & drool......
